With a turnover of EUR115 million in 2024, specialising in B2B sales to the international travel trade in both ad-hoc and special interest groups and FIT through Abbey The Destination Experts Ireland and UK and Moloney & Kelly Ireland & UK, which specialises in the luxury sector. We are a fast-growing Destination Management Company.

The Group has five divisions specialising in specific types of inbound tourism:

JOB TITLE:



Marketing Manager, Sales & Marketing Department - Edinburgh (hybrid)



ROLE OVERVIEW:



The Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational development of the Abbey Group's marketing efforts across its divisions. This role will focus on strengthening the company's brand presence, driving engagement with trade partners and supporting sales initiatives. The successful candidate will have a balance of creativity, strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

CORE DUTIES INCLUDE:



Strategic Marketing



Craft and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to support the group's leisure, incentive, conference, and event divisions. Lead brand identity initiatives across the Abbey Group, ensuring consistent messaging and visuals. Identify and leverage key market trends to position the Abbey Group as an industry leader.

Content Creation & Management



Oversee the creation of high-quality and Inspirational content for social media, email campaigns, ezines, websites, and print materials. Collaborate with graphic designer / sales teams to produce compelling promotional assets, including videos and imagery. Manage and grow the Group's social media presence across platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.

Sales Support & Campaigns



Work closely with sales teams to develop marketing materials for trade shows, sales calls, and funding submissions. Drive marketing campaigns that support product sales, including presentations, brochures, and direct email campaigns. Analyse performance metrics and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights to optimize future efforts.

Digital & CRM Oversight



Manage email marketing platforms and CRM systems, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency. Create analytics dashboards to monitor and report on marketing ROI. Implement SEO strategies to enhance online visibility. Stay ahead of Industry trends and Innovations to maintain competitive advantage

Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility



Support the Abbey Group's environmental and responsible tourism initiatives, aligning marketing strategies with sustainability goals Where required, international travel will be in compliance with the company's Business Travel Policy

REQUIREMENTS:



Essential:



Relevant degree in Marketing - BA or Honours 3 - 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within the tourism or hospitality industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite. Strong knowledge of social media platforms and email marketing systems (e.g., Campaign Monitor or similar). Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines In a fast paced environment Experience of creating, iterating and managing impactful content for social media Demonstrable creativity and experience of managing campaigns from Inception through to evaluation

Desirable:



Experience with CRM platforms and data analytics tools. Familiarity with Tourplan or similar tour operating systems. Proficiency in video editing and the ability to create inspirational video content for marketing campaigns. A passion for travel and a deep understanding of Ireland and the UK as destinations.
