An exciting opportunity has now arisen within the Tiverton & South Molton Agency for a Marketing Manager.

About the role:



Are you a creative and organised marketing professional who loves bringing ideas to life through engaging campaigns and memorable events?



NFU Mutual's Tiverton and South Molton Agency are looking for a Marketing and Events Manager to lead our local marketing activity and strengthen our presence within the community. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape how we connect with our customers (both current and prospect) and showcase the values that make NFU Mutual stand out.



Working closely with our local agency team and Head Office Marketing, you'll take ownership of developing and delivering our annual marketing plan -- ensuring it aligns with NFU Mutual's national strategy while reflecting the unique needs of our local area. From planning community sponsorships and organising events to creating compelling local content, you'll play a key role in building awareness, trust, and engagement across our customer base.



You'll manage the full marketing mix, including traditional advertising, social media, print, PR, and digital activity. You'll also work with external partners -- from videographers to local media -- to ensure our brand is represented professionally and consistently.



This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on collaboration, and is passionate about making a positive impact in the community we serve.

Key responsibilities include

Developing and implementing the annual marketing plan in line with NFU Mutual's overarching strategy. Managing the full local marketing mix, including traditional, digital, and PR activity. Creating and curating engaging content for social media and local campaigns. Coordinating sponsorships, community partnerships, and local advertising. Planning and delivering events from concept to completion. Working with Head Office to ensure all marketing activity meets brand and compliance standards. Managing external suppliers, agencies, and creative resources to deliver high-quality materials.



About you:



You'll be a confident and creative marketing professional who can balance big-picture planning with day-to-day delivery. With strong communication and organisational skills, you'll take ownership of projects, manage multiple priorities, and enjoy seeing your ideas make an impact.

You'll bring experience across a range of marketing disciplines -- from social media and content creation to event coordination and PR -- and be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. A keen eye for detail, a proactive mindset, and a passion for connecting with people will help you thrive in this role.

Ideally, you'll bring:



Proven experience in marketing and/or communications including relevant qualifications Strong planning and project management skills, with the ability to deliver multiple campaigns at once. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience writing for a range of audiences. Confidence managing social media channels and creating engaging, on-brand content. Experience working with external agencies or creative suppliers. Experience in design and using creative tools would be an advantage, but isn't essential. A collaborative, can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering work to the highest standards.
