We operate public dining and sightseeing cruises as well as private charters for corporate events, birthday parties, weddings, or other special occasions across London, and York.
POSITION SUMMARY
As the Marketing Manager for City Cruises York you will be responsible for supporting the creation and implementation of best-in-class marketing strategies and plans for the City Cruises UK York location. You will be responsible for monitoring, measuring, and delivering marketing strategies and activity across a broad range of channels including but not limited to PR, Social, Content, Print, Signage, Affiliate, Partnerships, OOH (Out of Home) Advertising, Website and Digital Marketing.

As an outstanding communicator, you will ensure that our brand guidelines and values are upheld at all times, ensuring that our brand is represented correctly and to the highest standards. You will create, manage and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns across the year, ensuring that our products are marketed to the right audiences at the right time, with the right messages. With a keen eye for detail, you will analyse performance and activity, identify real-time opportunities, and deliver reports on activity, growth and performance. This position requires a highly motivated, positive, and professional individual who possesses excellent motivation and communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the Director of Marketing (UK/EU) and wider marketing department to build, deliver and manage the City Cruises York marketing strategy and budget.
Plan and develop effective and creative marketing campaigns for all City Cruises York products to drive online and at pier sales and revenue.
Partner with the Ecommerce Manager (UK) and product team to manage website updates and changes, analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of website and digital performance.
Partner with Senior Marketing Manager on managing regional PR activity via our PR agency, and support the planning and delivery of fam trips, PR events and filming opportunities.
Partner with Digital Marketing Manager to create and deliver Affiliate Marketing strategy.
Manage the production of communications materials, constantly review advertising opportunities and advertisement design.
Partner with the Head of Commercial and Sales to manage and develop key third party partnerships including (but not limited to) tourist board partners to maximise marketing and commercial opportunities.
Partner with and support the Social Media Manager in delivering social media activity and content.
Generate, circulate and report on surveys and other market research, identifying trends where appropriate.
Coordinate the distribution of marketing and partner materials ensuring product details are correct and up to date to external agencies, partners, outlets and agents.
Work in collaboration with Head of Commercial and Sales, to create and develop partnerships and relationships with key local and national organisations to deliver increased brand growth and presence to support revenue and EBITDA growth goals.
Maintain up to date promotional collateral and signage both on board and at point of sale locations.
Maintain strong awareness of the competitive landscape with a focus on implementing strategies and activity deliver business growth and increase market share.
Represent the company at various industry conferences and events.
Other duties as reasonably required.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years experience in Marketing (ideally in travel, experiences or hospitality)
Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, partnerships and successful public relations efforts.
Broad knowledge of marketing across a number of channels including online marketing, affiliate programs, PR, partnerships, email marketing, print, content and social media.
Passionate about delivering best-in-class marketing, amazing customer experiences and obsessing over the customer journey
Superior attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to deliver high quality work, multi-task and manage deadlines.
Ability to influence and build strong business partnerships within the organisation
Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload with excellent time management skills
Proactive team player, able to work collaboratively and problem solve
Flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to react calmly in a pressurised situation
Starter-finisher: Ability to own and follow-through to completion.
Excellent verbal communication and written skills
