About the Team
We're a team of three led by the Marketing Manager, Mobile Money with two talented marketing specialists working together for Mobile Money programme which is part of M4D marketing team. You will be uopported to bring fresh ideas, grow your skills, and lead work that makes a real impact. About the Role
We are looking for a creative, confident, and highly organised Marketing Specialist to join our M4D marketing team. In this role, you'll spend most of your time supporting the Mobile Money programme, while also contributing to other M4D projects as needed. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you'll play a key part in ensuring our research, insights and initiatives reach the right audiences and drive meaningful engagement across the industry.
As Marketing Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to bring our content to life by proofreading, editing and publishing resources on the M4D website using WordPress. You'll craft engaging social media copy, design visual assets, and build and send email newsletters and event invitations using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You'll also contribute to the creation and maintenance of external-facing materials such as reports, videos, presentations, infographics and web content, ensuring they reflect our brand and resonate with our audiences.
You'll work closely with external suppliers including video agencies, copyeditors, translators and designers, managing relationships and delivering projects on time and to a high standard. Monitoring engagement metrics and reporting on the performance of campaigns across channels will be a key measure of success, helping the team refine its approach and grow its impact. You'll also support the marketing and operational aspects of events and webinars, update internal and external presentation materials with the latest figures and branding, and manage purchase orders and invoices efficiently with the Operations team.
In your first year, you'll be expected to take ownership of key marketing activities, deliver high-quality and timely content, and contribute fresh ideas to strengthen the Mobile Money programme's thought leadership and visibility.

About You
To excel in this role, you'll need to be a confident communicator with the ability to craft clear, engaging content that resonates across different audiences and channels. Your strong organisational skills will allow you to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, ensuring high-quality work is delivered on time. You'll bring a creative and analytical mindset, enabling you to design campaigns that inspire action while tracking and optimising performance across email, web and social media platforms.
You'll use tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud or equivalent systems to build and deliver email campaigns, and you'll publish engaging content on platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram to grow our reach and influence. Experience with content management systems like WordPress and a good understanding of marketing best practices for digital channels will help you hit the ground running. Knowledge of Google Analytics or similar tools will enable you to monitor engagement and identify opportunities to improve.
This role also offers the chance to broaden your skills - whether by experimenting with new campaign formats, enhancing your design abilities using tools such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop, or collaborating with agencies to produce impactful video and visual content. You'll be encouraged to bring fresh ideas, learn on the job, and grow your expertise in a supportive, fast-paced environment where your contributions will make a real difference.
