MASC Play Worker (Maternity cover)

(Meadowside Activity & Support Club - Breakfast / After School / Holiday Provision)

Pay:

Scale C Point 2 - 12.65 per hour

Contract:

Hours to be agreed - term time and/or holiday club hours available

Meadowside Primary School are seeking an enthusiastic, fun and caring individual to join our

MASC

team - our in-house wraparound childcare provision (breakfast, after school and holiday club). MASC supports children from across the school with a safe, nurturing and enjoyable environment that extends the school day.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Support the daily running of MASC sessions Supervise and engage pupils in play, games, activities and creative opportunities Prepare and serve snacks/drinks as required Ensure resources and play areas are safe, well presented and inviting Support positive behaviour and promote a caring, inclusive atmosphere Establish positive relationships with children and families Set up and clear away resources and equipment Follow safeguarding, health & safety and all school policies and procedures Record any incidents or concerns in line with school reporting procedures

We are looking for someone who is:

Friendly, positive and enjoys interacting and playing with children Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a small team Able to take initiative and remain calm under pressure Committed to ensuring children are happy, safe and well cared for Flexible and willing to contribute ideas to develop the provision further

Experience of working with children in a school/club setting is desirable but not essential.

Food Hygiene / First Aid qualifications are beneficial (training can be provided).

Pay: 12.65 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 10 per week
