ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Material Flow Planner to join our Logistics team at our Crewe campus- the worlds first carbon neutral carbon Automotive site! Reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Manager, the Material Flow Planner develops and delivers the most efficient, effective and flexible supply chain solutions to support vehicle build story requirements and deliver production requirements in line with production volumes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Development / implementation of lineside delivery methods from external warehouses to lineside:
  • Project management - design, develop and implementation of delivery methods for all parts and part groups
  • Supply Chain Routing - Establish and enter the supply code information per part into SAP that drives all part delivery internal information. This enables all delivery information for suppliers and the process/cost required to support material flow to assembly lines
  • Clear communication required with ability to co-ordinate meetings, take clear minutes, document follow ups and drive activity forward
  • Evaluation of packaging concept - agree optimum packaging solutions.
  • Continuous Improvements - Maintain culture of continuous improvement to support financial targets set within business goals and FMK process.
About the Person

The successful candidate will be in a role delivering logistical solutions and supply chain planning role, and be role looking to utilise their skills in a different capacity. You will demonstrate:
  • Demonstrable experience of internal supply chain development
  • Effective communication with a range of people internally and externally
  • Proven influencing and negotiation skills with internal and external suppliers and customers
  • Planning and complex problem solving skills
  • A positive attitude and driven to achieve
  • Good team player also able to work on their own
