As part of the Indutrade international group, we continue to invest in our people, equipment, and technology. Our team manufactures high-precision components for a wide range of industries, and we're looking for a Sales and Purchasing Administrator to support our growing operations.

About the Role



We are seeking a reliable and conscientious Material Operator to support our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in material control, inspection, and stores management, ensuring materials are handled, inspected, and issued accurately in line with company procedures and production requirements. This role includes carrying out 100% inspection of components to ensure they meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Issue materials to production areas according to the production schedule, ensuring correct allocation to work orders and timely delivery to machines. Manage production returns, ensuring unused or surplus materials are returned to stock, correctly identified, and stored appropriately. Receive deliveries and store raw materials in designated locations. Operate forklift trucks safely and in accordance with site procedures. Carry out quality checks on incoming materials. Move subcontract work to the next operation as required. Maintain effective stores management, including stock control, stock takes, housekeeping, and completion of safety and forklift inspection records. Manage metal waste across both sites, including monitoring and emptying swarf skips, identifying mixed skips, safe disposal of drained coolant, and coordinating collections. Maintain oil and coolant stock levels, replace empty barrels, and accurately record usage. Maintain saw areas by removing scrap and swarf and topping up coolant levels. Conduct 100% inspection activities in accordance with quality standards and procedures. Move materials, oils, and WIP between sites using the company van. (2 minute drive between site) Actively support continuous improvement initiatives across all areas.

Skills & Experience:



Ability to work independently, with effective communication skills, and collaborate as part of a team when required. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. Forklift licence and experience operating forklifts safely in a production or warehouse environment. Ability to undertake physical tasks, including manual handling. Competent with basic numerical calculations. High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.

Hours:



Monday to Thursday - 08:00 to 17:00 Friday - 08:00 to 14:00 or 07:00 to 13:00

Pay: 13.80 per hour
