We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our preschool team on a maternity cover contract for approximately 9-12 months.

- Early Years Practitioner (Maternity Cover)

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality care and education to children in line with the EYFS framework. Support children's learning and development through play, planned activities, and positive interactions. Work as part of a team to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing preschool environment. Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues. Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are met at all times. Contribute to planning, observation, and assessment in line with preschool policies. Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of practice.
Person Specification

Essential:

A recognised qualification in Early Years Childcare (Level 2 or 3, or equivalent). A genuine passion for working with young children. Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework. Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Willingness to undertake all relevant checks and training.
Desirable:

Previous experience of working in an early years setting. Additional training in safeguarding, SEN, or behaviour management.
