Delta Sports Coaching is seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our team on a temporary basis to provide maternity cover. This role involves delivering high-quality, inclusive sports sessions to children across our after-school and holiday programmes. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for child development, a proactive approach to coaching, and the ability to foster a safe and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver structured sports and activity sessions for children aged 4-11
Ensure all activities are inclusive, age-appropriate, and aligned with Delta's values
Support children during transitions, snack times, and general care routines
Uphold safeguarding standards and contribute to the wellbeing of all participants
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to maintain a positive team culture
Essential Criteria
Experience working with children in coaching, educational, or childcare settings
Confidence in leading group activities and adapting sessions to suit varying needs
A caring, responsible attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children
Strong communication skills and a commitment to professional conduct
Desirable Qualifications
First Aid certification
Safeguarding training or equivalent
Food Hygiene Level 2
Full UK driving licence
