Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications

Pro Rata Range: 18,000 - 22,000 (Full-Time Equivalent)

Job Purpose

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Part-Time Maths Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students build a solid foundation in mathematics and preparing them for GCSE examinations.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons tailored to a variety of learner needs Teach across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE Maths content Promote logical thinking, problem-solving, and numerical fluency Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and departmental resources Stay up-to-date with national curriculum changes and exam specifications Set high expectations for classroom behaviour and academic progress Engage with parents and colleagues to support student learning Participate in relevant school events, CPD, and performance management activities
Person Specification

Essential:

A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 levels Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching mathematics Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills High expectations for all students, regardless of background or ability A commitment to professional development and reflective practice A willingness to support the values and ethos of an Islamic faith-based school
Desirable:

Experience working in a faith-based or independent school Familiarity with Islamic values and the school's ethos A track record of raising attainment in Maths, particularly at GCSE level
