Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles. Educate students on mathematical principles, theories, and problem-solving techniques. Provide individual tutoring and mentoring to support students who may require additional assistance. Assess student progress through regular testing and provide constructive feedback. Maintain an organised classroom environment conducive to learning. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and behaviour. Support special education needs by adapting lessons for students with varying abilities.

Skills

Strong knowledge of mathematics concepts and teaching methodologies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex ideas. Ability to mentor and inspire students, fostering a love for learning. Proficiency in proofreading educational materials for clarity and accuracy. Experience in tutoring or providing additional support to students outside of regular classroom hours. Familiarity with scientific research methods as they relate to mathematics education is advantageous. Strong organisational skills to manage lesson plans, student assessments, and classroom activities.
