, with a focus on individual progress and academic confidence. Ideal candidates will bring a strong subject foundation, enthusiasm for teaching, and experience working with children, including those with special educational needs.
Each tutor will be assigned a
main centre
but must be flexible to work at
both Mile End and Ilford centres
.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging Maths lessons tailored to various learning needs
Teach across
KS3-KS5
(including GCSE and A-Level Maths)
Conduct structured
Assessment Week
every 4th week
Provide cover work in case of absence
Support and monitor student progress
Collaborate with parents and team members to support learning
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and best practices
Requirements
A
Bachelor's degree (or currently studying for one)
in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
Minimum
GCSE Grade C / 5 in English Language and Maths
Valid DBS certificate
is required
Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) is desirable (not essential)
Must be
flexible Monday-Sunday
Previous tutoring or teaching experience essential (1 year minimum)
Comfortable working with students of varying levels and abilities
