Beyond Education is an Ofsted regulated tutoring company in Urmston, Manchester. We tutor children aged 4-18 in English, maths, science and also for school entrance exams. Children are tutored both face-to-face in our centre 10am-8pm. Some children are booked in with us direct from school and may be tutored on a 1:1 basis at home or 1:1 or small groups at their school.
We are looking for someone to join our team who has a passion for teaching maths, particularly to KS3 and KS4 pupils. Successful candidates should be available to work flexibly at least one weekday. Sessions generally take place no earlier than 10am and always finish no later than 8pm. The initial position is for evening work (4-8pm). Daytime work is available for the right candidate(s)

A levels or equivalent

Successful candidates will;
Teach students in years 7-11(plus KS5 if qualified) on a 1:1 basis or in a small group
Support tutors at Beyond Education with less experience (eg qualified teachers supporting trainee teachers and none-qualified tutors)
Plan effectively for their sessions and ensure resources are ready
Liaise with colleagues and parents regarding children's progress

Candidates will initially be expected to work in the centre only for monitoring and training purposes. After a probationary review, additional work may then be offered to some members of staff to tutor small group and 1:1 sessions in schools and at students homes along with a pay-rise. Pay is dependent on age, qualifications and experience.
