Seashell Trust is looking for a motivated and detail?oriented
MDM Technician
to join our IT team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in managing and supporting our mobile device infrastructure, ensuring staff across the organisation have secure and reliable access to the technology they need.
About the Role
As MDM Technician, you will provide administrative support for our mobile device management systems, coordinating the provisioning, deployment, and maintenance of smartphones and tablets. You'll ensure compliance with IT security policies, troubleshoot issues, and work closely with colleagues across the Service Desk and wider IT team to deliver a seamless user experience.
This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge of mobile operating systems and MDM software, combined with excellent communication skills and a customer?focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and coordinate mobile device provisioning, deployment, and maintenance.
Ensure adherence to MDM policies, procedures, and security protocols.
Collaborate with IT colleagues to integrate mobile devices into the wider network.
Provide first?line support for mobile device issues.
Conduct audits to ensure compliance with data protection and security standards.
Deliver training and guidance to staff on mobile device usage.
Contribute to service improvements and process efficiency.
About You
We're seeking someone who is:
Experienced in mobile device management (iOS, Android, MDM software).
Skilled in problem?solving, with a strong understanding of networking and security concepts.
Able to communicate technical issues clearly to non?technical users.
Organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic about technology.
A team player with empathy, patience, and a customer?focused mindset.
A qualification in IT (A Level, BTEC, Diploma, or degree) or equivalent industry experience is essential.
Experience in an education, care, or SEND environment is desirable.
