About the Role





At Harmony Fire, we believe our work saves lives. As a CAD Technician, you'll play a crucial part in delivering world-class fire safety and building services solutions. While our immediate focus is fire protection systems - sprinklers and fire alarm systems - our remit covers the full Mechanical & Electrical spectrum.



This is not a role for someone who wants to coast through a 9-to-5. We're looking for an A-Player - driven, ambitious, and ready to push their career forward while making a tangible difference to people's safety.


Key Responsibilities




Take projects from concept through to final production, interrogating designs and delivering accurate, compliant solutions Produce high-quality AutoCAD drawings to support estimating, pre-construction, and delivery Implement drawing standardisation and best practices, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across the design team Provide clear design packages that enable precise costing by estimators and subcontractors Attend site surveys, producing comprehensive reports to de-risk and strengthen project delivery Advise on sprinkler and M&E routes and layouts, collaborating closely with stakeholders and clients Support Client Relations and Pre-Construction in technical meetings, bringing clarity and confidence Provide cost-engineering advice to maximise project profitability while maintaining compliance Collaborate with the Delivery team to ensure seamless handovers Contribute to the development of Harmony's world-class methodology for M&E systems Mentor and support new team members, sharing your knowledge of products, British Standards, and best practices

What We're Looking For




Strong AutoCAD skills (2D essential, 3D experience desirable) Background in the M&E industry, fire systems experience an advantage A logical mindset with the ability to bring structure, repeatability, and efficiency to the design process Sharp attention to detail with a do it right first time attitude Ability to balance creativity with compliance, spotting design opportunities that increase project value Confident communicator who inspires trust in colleagues and clients Driven, ambitious, and proactive - someone who sees this role as a career step, not just a job A collaborator who thrives on accountability, high standards, and continuous improvement
