Job Description

Overview

The Project Manager role at Prestige is responsible for leading projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. They plan and coordinate resources, manage daily site operations alongside Site Supervisors, act as the primary client contact, and oversee variations, procurement, and cost control. This role enforces health, safety, and compliance requirements, conduct quality checks, and lead project debriefs to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement. The role also includes participation in the out-of-hours rota, ensuring leadership and support are always available for urgent issues.

Projects include M&E, commercial plant room refurbishments and off site fabrication.

Technical Specification

Must have proven experience leading projects from initiation through to completion within building services or construction environments. Building and maintaining new and existing client relationships. Ability to review client requirements, technical drawings, and quotes to develop accurate project execution plans. Strong skills in scheduling, labour allocation, and coordinating pre-start activities including surveys and procurement. Experience managing daily site operations, resolving on-site issues, and working alongside Site Supervisors and office staff. Demonstrated ability to act as the main client contact, delivering regular progress updates and managing variations effectively. Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier coordination, and material management to ensure timely delivery. Ability to track and control project costs against budgets, with early escalation of overspend risks. Experience producing structured project progress reports, including achievements, issues, forecasts, and site photos. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, legal compliance, and risk management in construction/CDM. Ability to conduct quality assurance checks, review/update RAMS, and organise third-party H&S audits when required. Track record of facilitating lessons learned reviews, capturing improvements, and embedding them into future projects.
