Equans is looking for an M&E Team Lead

to join our team on the London School of Economics and Political Science, Southwark.

Equans has been awarded a prestigious 140 million contract to deliver a state-of-the-art, low-carbon student accommodation project for the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Following the successful construction of 676 new low-carbon student rooms and additional facilities, you'll play a key role in managing the facility and transforming the LSE student experience, all while helping to meet ambitious sustainability goals. As our new

M&E Team Lead

, you'll be overseeing the work of our in-house M&E Engineers, ensuring all mechanical and electrical works are completed to the highest standards. You'll work closely with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure everything runs smoothly, stays on budget, and meets our service goals.






What will you deliver?




Supervise and guide the M&E Engineers, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment. Lead the planning and delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance work, ensuring all jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients. Organise and allocate tasks to both direct and contract labor, making sure everything is completed efficiently and accurately documented. Act as the key point of contact for contractors, ensuring all work complies with Equans Health & Safety standards. Work directly with client representatives, solving any issues that arise and ensuring we exceed expectations at all stages of work. Procure necessary materials and services, managing stock control and ensuring all documentation is up to date. Provide cost control information, estimates, and ensure all essential paperwork (timesheets, reports, audits) is submitted on time. As part of the on-call rota, you'll be ready to provide emergency support and manage out-of-hours work. Take ownership of health and safety responsibilities by adhering to company policies and ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.

Who are you?





Experience in managing M&E teams and coordinating multiple projects. Strong understanding of service level agreements, KPIs, and compliance. Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with both clients and contractors. In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices. The ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail in administrative tasks and record maintenance. Willingness to participate inon-call duties and attend emergencies as needed. A problem-solving mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Due to the nature of the contract, successful post holder must be able to obtain and maintain a DBS at Standard Level.
