Job Description

Join Eurotunnel's Infrastructure team as a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Technician, contributing to the preventive and corrective maintenance of electromechanical systems across the tunnel and terminal facilities. This hands-on, safety-critical role involves diagnosing and repairing complex systems (automation, hydraulics, electrical, mechanical, and building services), delivering small projects, and continuously developing technical expertise.

Adhere to Eurotunnel's safety and security principles, actively promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvements. Conduct field safety talks, audits, and incident reporting. Perform planned preventative and corrective maintenance, ensuring accurate records in the Maintenance Management System. Respond to anomaly reports and liaise with the Railway Control Centre (RCC), Traffic Control Centre (TCC), and Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) for operational coordination. Complete consignation and safety documentation accurately. Ensure compliance with Minimum Operating Requirements (MOR) and take corrective action when needed. Validate maintenance documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Support maintenance planning, quality assurance, and administrative reporting. Foster binational collaboration and assist other systems/services as required. Engage in ongoing training and support colleagues' development.

Qualifications & Experience



Electrical or Mechanical qualification to ONC level or equivalent post-Apprenticeship experience. Proven track record in a Mechanical and Electrical environment. Hands-on experience with industrial automated M&E equipment and maintenance. Valid Driving Licence and Passport. Ability to communicate in French and/or another European language is an advantage.

Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and commitment to safe working practices. Ability to work independently and maintain high standards under pressure. Adaptable, reliable, and motivated to learn new systems and technologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive team relationships. Demonstrates reliability and punctuality, contributing to team productivity. Willing and able to work a roster covering a 24-hour period, 7 days a week. Meets the required medical standards for the role.
