Oldway Primary School is looking for a dedicated Mealtime Assistant to join our friendly and nurturing school community.

Oldway is a popular school which serves the local community in Paignton, South Devon. We have an extensive and experienced workforce with a great deal of expertise, and are able to provide a vibrant learning experience for our pupils.

Oldway Primary School is part of the Riviera Education Trust which is a multi-academy trust consisting of three local primary schools: Oldway Primary School, Shiphay Learning Academy and Roselands Primary School. We work in collaboration with Oldway Primary School and Shiphay Learning Academy in order to benefit all of the children in the Trust. Working in partnership with other schools helps to strengthen our provision and provide educational excellence so that every pupil has the best possible learning experience and is prepared for future life.

We are looking to appoint a fixed term Mealtime Assistant to start in February 2026.

The Mealtime Assistant team is a group of committed staff who support the children at lunchtime in eating and enjoying playtime. Mealtime Assistants receive training throughout the year and many staff go on to become Teaching Assistants.

The working hours are from

12.00pm - 12.45pm
