Job title:

Meat Packer

Main Purpose of the Job:

Preparing and packing orders to a high standard for UK and export customers.

Main Duties

Picking product and using weighing system correctly to vacuum pack and box up product

Ensure correct labels are used for each product

Ensuring workspace is clean and tidy at all times

Working as part of a team to meet targets and order deadlines

Key Results

Adherence to Health and Safety Policy at all times

Adhere to laws and regulations governing meat production and storage (Food Hygiene and Scottish Quality Wild Venison)

Meeting daily production targets

Responsible for Staff / Equipment

Responsible for cleaning of vacuum packer and other equipment

Responsible for correct labelling of product using weighing system.

Knowledge, Training, Attributes and Experience required to do this job

Essential

Ability to work as part of a team

Ability to work in a busy environment

Punctual and reliable

The job requires a high standard of personal hygiene to adhere to food production regulations

Desirable (training will be provided)

Previous experience in production environment

Previous knowledge of meat cuts

We expect our staff to go above and beyond what is expected and carry out duties that may not be listed above.

This is a full time temporary position, starting on Monday 16th September 2024 until late February 2025

Hourly rate to be agreed depending on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
