Meat processing machinery Maintenance engineer

Wolf-Tech Engineering provides technical service and maintenance to meat processing machinery. Wolf-Tech is looking for a hands-on engineer to assist with engineering tasks, laboring and driving duties. Must be willing to take on a wide variety of additional manual tasks to support engineering manager.

Key responsibilities

Servicing and repair of industrial meat processing machinery out on site

Fault finding and repair of gearboxes

Deal with emergency breakdowns and repairs

Working with Engineering manager on engineering projects

Ensuring stock room is organised and has an up to date inventory list

Adhere to health and safety requirements

Collection/delivery of parts

Skills and qualifications

Knowledge of mechanical engineering and electrical fault finding

NVQ level 3 or equivalent as a minimum

Experience in the meat processing machinery industry preferred

Able to work on own initiative and unsupervised

A driving license is required with no more than 6 points.

The ideal candidate must be flexible and willing to work unsocial hours, including nights and weekends when required. Must be willing to travel and occasional nights away. (extra pay for unsocial hours)

Standard Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5.00pm

Must be willing to work within the meat industry.

Basic onsite training will be given.

Uniform and PPE provided.

Salary negotiable, depending on experience
