Lead daily operations of meat and packaged food processing units.
Ensure adherence to
HACCP, food hygiene, and health & safety standards
.
Manage production schedules, output targets, and resource allocation.
Implement continuous improvement measures to increase efficiency and reduce wastage.
Distribution & Warehouse Management
Oversee warehouse operations including frozen stock control, inventory management, and order fulfilment.
Manage distribution and transport logistics, ensuring timely delivery to retail stores, wholesale clients, and online customers.
Develop and enforce systems for monitoring supply chain efficiency and delivery performance.
Liaise with external logistics providers and maintain cost-effective partnerships.
Leadership & Compliance
Manage and train staff across production, warehouse, and logistics functions.
Ensure compliance with
UK food manufacturing and distribution regulations
.
Report performance KPIs and operational insights to senior management.
Drive a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Proven experience in
food production, warehousing, or logistics management
(meat processing background highly desirable).
Strong knowledge of
UK food safety, HACCP, and supply chain regulations
.
Excellent leadership skills with ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team.
Strong problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills.
Degree or equivalent in
Food Science, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Business Management
desirable.
