Position:
Our Engineering team play a pivotal technical and commercial role within the company, You will work closely with both existing customers and new clients to establish their requirements then prepare technical and commercial proposals. If we do not have a solution within our existing product portfolio, we encourage the development of new ideas and designs to meet demand. We would also expect you to be prepared to visit customers and to attend conferences and exhibitions where needed.
Role:
Carry out product selection and analysis of shock and vibration control systems using proprietary analysis software
Apply products to new applications
Aid in the design of new products and development of existing products
Establish client requirements and specifications through technical/commercial meetings and specification reviews
Prepare technical and commercial proposals and present these to the clients
Prepare technical proposals and drawings for internal use
Visit clients, including some international travel

You must:
Ideally be HNC/D or Degree qualified Engineer preferably in Mechanical, Marine or Industrial Engineering, with at least two years' experience in an engineering role.
Proficient in the use of a top end 2D/3D CAD package e.g. AutoCAD / Inventor / ProEngineer / Solidworks
Be computer literate and have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Have an enthusiastic interest in technology and mechanical engineering
Be comfortable meeting new people and developing relationships in an engineering and commercial environment.
Desirable:
Knowledge of vibration isolation systems
Knowledge and experience of FEA packages e.g. AutoCAD Nastran Incad / Ansys
Previous engineering applications and sales experience
