The role




Due to a period of growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced

Mechanical CAD Technician

to join our Water team based in

Bamber Bridge, Preston, Lancashire

. This is an essential role, which will enable our success in maintaining a high level of technical competence when delivering projects for our clients.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:



Assists EWW designers and project engineers in producing outline, detailed and construction CAD drgs and models Able to produce P&iDs and mechanical layout drgs for the water industry to client specifications. Liaise with suppliers to gather information and incorporate supplier CAD drgs and models in the EWW CAD drgs and models Ensures client CAD and BIM standards are followed Have a design background to be able to contribute to designs by assisting with layouts and arrangements Assist with pre start and as built site surveys Assist with the EWW Design Management team to develop internal CAD and BIM standards and procedures

About You




The ideal candidate will be an experienced CAD Technician with experience within Utilities or Civil Engineering. Experience within a municipal water / waste water environment would be advantageous although not essential. It goes without saying that you will have excellent experience the use of design software such as AutoCAD and Revit plus excellent IT skills including the ability to use MS suite. You will possess good communication skills both oral and written and thrive in a busy and challenging environment. Ideally, you will hold a vocational or academic Engineering qualification such as an NVQ, HNC or ONC.
