Mechanical Contracts Manager - Cat A & Cat B Fit-Outs

Central London | 2m-10m Mechanical Packages

The Opportunity

We're looking for a proven Mechanical Contracts Manager to deliver high-quality Cat A and Cat B mechanical installations on some of London's most prestigious commercial office projects.

Working directly with leading developers, global occupiers, and tier-one main contractors, you'll manage fast-track mechanical packages valued between 2m and 10m. The role offers real variety: one day you're handing over a trophy asset's shell & core, the next you're delivering a bespoke, high-spec Cat B workplace for a world-class brand.

Key Responsibilities

Full ownership of mechanical packages from pre-construction/PCSA through to handover and aftercare Develop and drive robust programmes using Primavera P6 (Asta also welcome) Lead delivery across both: ? Cat A - HVAC plant, risers, LTHW, chilled water, public health, life safety ? Cat B - VRF/VRV systems, comfort cooling, BMS upgrades, lighting control, tenant-specific modifications Manage procurement, tendering, and appointment of specialist mechanical subcontractors Act as the main mechanical interface with clients, design teams, and main contractors Chair site progress meetings and deliver clear, concise reporting to senior management and stakeholders Proactively resolve technical and logistical challenges to protect programme and profitability Ensure full compliance with Building Regulations, BREEAM, London Plan, Part L, and CDM

About You

Strong track record delivering mechanical packages on Central London commercial office projects (Cat A and/or Cat B) Comfortable running multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously Excellent client-facing skills and commercial acumen In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems typically specified in prime London offices Highly organised, calm under pressure, and relentlessly focused on quality, safety, and delivery
