We're currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Engineering Department at our cutting-edge Springtown site in Northern Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional to contribute to a high-tech, fast-paced environment where innovation and precision are key.
In this role, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of facilities engineers to:

• Design, scope and manage facilitisation for equipment installations.
• Oversee the relocation and optimization of existing utilities.
• Support operations by enhancing the reliability and performance of critical plant systems.

You'll be at the forefront of ensuring our infrastructure meets the demands of world-class manufacturing, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality.
About the role - you will:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our advanced manufacturing and cleanroom operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing mechanical P&ID drawings to ensure accurate utility service integration.
• Designing and specifying mechanical systems from facility origin to point-of-use.
• Creating and updating CAD drawings and P&IDs for mechanical scopes of work.
• Developing detailed scopes of work (SOWs) for contractor pricing and execution.
• Planning installation timelines and overseeing project delivery to ensure milestones are met.
• Management of both OPEX and CAPEX budgets and spending
• Championing health, safety, and environmental standards, with strict adherence to cleanroom protocols.
• Leading pre-task planning including risk assessments, method statements, and compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
• Development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participation in various audits
• Collaborating with other engineers to support mechanical aspects of cross-functional projects.
• Liaison with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of services and project delivery

About you:
We're looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and collaborative energy to the team:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• A proactive team player who communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Skilled in coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical integrity across large-scale projects.
• Flexible and responsive to changing priorities and project demands.
• Confident in presenting technical justifications to senior and executive leadership.

Your experience includes:
Bonus Skills & Experience: While not essential, the following would be advantageous and may be used for shortlisting:

• Familiarity with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Experience in contractor coordination or project management.
• Background in facilities services maintenance and repair.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical system design, plant maintenance, and/or mechanical system installations.

This is a Full-Time position working 39 hours per week.
