Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in various technical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity of equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement effective solutions. Utilise CAD software for system design and modifications. Apply GD&T principles during maintenance processes. Work with logic controllers to enhance machinery functionality. Use LabView and MATLAB for data analysis and system diagnostics. Collaborate with engineering teams on projects involving SolidWorks and Simulink. Execute root cause analysis to determine underlying problems in machinery. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on various types of machinery. Familiarity with CAD, LabView, SolidWorks, Simulink, and MATLAB is highly desirable. Understanding of GD&T principles and logic controllers is an advantage. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields are preferred.
