Summary

We are seeking an Estimator to join our dynamic team in South Yorkshire. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our project planning and execution by accurately estimating costs and ensuring projects align with our mission of delivering exceptional projects.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical building service projects from minor works to million pound plus projects Analyse project specifications and requirements to determine accurate pricing Collaborate with project/contract managers and engineers to ensure alignment on project scope Monitor market trends and material costs to provide competitive estimates Assist in preparing bid proposals for new projects Maintain accurate records of estimates and project costs Provide support during the negotiation phase with clients Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating process

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Estimator in the mechanical services industry Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Strong communication skills to effectively convey estimates to stakeholders Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction or engineering are preferred
