Job Title: Mechanical Handler
Location: Derby (Hybrid, 2 days on-site)

Mechanical Engineer
with experience across the full lifecycle of
plant and equipment design, development, and delivery
. This role offers the chance to work on
large-scale mechanical handling equipment
in a highly regulated industry, contributing to projects that have a direct impact on energy security and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deliver
mechanical handling equipment
for plant environments, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Produce and review
technical documentation
, including scopes of work and design assessments.
Support the full
lifecycle of mechanical systems
, from concept through to manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
Oversee supplier activities and ensure equipment is manufactured to required specifications.
Apply knowledge of
manufacturing and construction standards
in the design and delivery process.
Engage with multi-disciplinary teams across mechanical, structural, and systems engineering.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in
mechanical design, development, and assessment
within complex industrial environments.
Background in working on
construction sites, plants, or heavy industry
projects.
Knowledge of
manufacturing standards
and ability to deliver equipment through the full project lifecycle.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Required Qualifications:
Degree in
Mechanical Engineering
(or another relevant engineering discipline).
Must be eligible for
BPSS clearance
.
Useful/Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with
PLM systems
such as Siemens Teamcenter.
Familiarity with
Siemens NX
design tools.
Security Clearance Requirement:
BPSS
