Media Relations and Operations Manager

Location: Virginia Water, Surrey

The European Tour group is one of the world's pre-eminent golf organisations. We are responsible for running the DP World Tour, HotelPlanner Tour, Legends Tour and G4D Tour (Golf for the Disabled Tour). We also organise, alongside the PGA of America, golf's greatest team contest - the Ryder Cup.

We are seeking a dynamic Media Relations and Operations Manager to lead and oversee media accreditation and media centre operations for tournaments worldwide within the DP World Tour event portfolio. This role includes managing the media accreditation and approval processes for externally promoted events and coordinating the media centre operations for the Ryder Cup when played in Europe. The successful candidate will also handle the overall administration of the Communications Department.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll lead on all operational, technical and layout matters of the DP World Tour Media Centres, ensuring everything runs smoothly from planning to execution.

You'll manage media accreditation and approvals, liaise with various media outlets, and collaborate with Championship Directors on budgets and expenditures. On-site, you'll be the go-to person for all media-related matters, coordinating volunteers, external agencies, and suppliers to ensure seamless operations. You'll also oversee media accreditation for externally promoted events, working closely with global agencies and promoter teams to troubleshoot any issues.

When it comes to the Ryder Cup, you'll plan and manage all aspects of the Media Centre for each home match, from accreditation to logistics, media hotel bookings and supporting a team of Press Officers in delivering all captain and player media activities.

You will produce weekly department rotas, manage holiday and lieu day allocations, and oversee daily task setting. You'll handle departmental meetings, manage POs and invoicing, and support the production of Tour publications and media events.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

To succeed in this role, you'll need strong project management experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Building relationships and working collaboratively across diverse countries and cultures will be key.

Pay: 40,000.00-55,000.00 per year
