Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mediator to facilitate discussions and negotiations between conflicting parties. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to guide individuals towards mutually beneficial resolutions. As a Mediator, you will play a crucial role in conflict resolution, helping to foster understanding and collaboration in various settings.

Duties



Facilitate mediation sessions between parties in conflict, ensuring a neutral and respectful environment. Assist participants in articulating their concerns and interests while promoting active listening. Guide discussions to identify common ground and explore potential solutions. Develop and implement strategies for effective communication among conflicting parties. Maintain confidentiality throughout the mediation process. Prepare documentation summarising agreements reached during mediation sessions. Provide follow-up support to ensure the implementation of agreed-upon solutions. Stay updated on conflict resolution techniques and best practices.

Qualifications



This position does not require any previous mediation training or qualifications as training will be provided. However you must be able to demonstrate the following:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly. Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards diverse perspectives. Ability to remain impartial and neutral while facilitating discussions. Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on collaborative solutions. Knowledge of legal frameworks related to mediation is advantageous but not essential. A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of mediation.
