Job Summary:
Chase Lodge Hospital is seeking a highly organised and professional Front Of House Medical Administrator to support the daily operations of our busy private healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and medical staff, providing exceptional administrative and customer service to ensure a smooth and efficient healthcare experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, managing check-ins and check-outs efficiently
Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling using the hospital's patient management system
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with GDPR
Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, triaging messages and directing queries appropriately
Process invoices, payments, and insurance documentation with accuracy
Support medical staff with administrative tasks
Coordinate with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure seamless patient care
Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance-related tasks
Uphold Chase Lodge Hospital's high standards of patient care and service
Requirements:
Proven experience in a medical or healthcare administration role (private sector experience is a plus)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and patient management systems
Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and remain calm under pressure
Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of healthcare workflows
Discretion and respect for confidentiality
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Flexibility with regards to shifts
Desirable:
Previous experience in a private hospital or GP-led setting
Knowledge of CQC compliance standards and processes
