Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming environment
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary
Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously, directing enquiries appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management system
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing correspondence
Assist with billing procedures and processing payments where applicable
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies
Support other administrative duties as required to ensure efficient practice operations
Skills
Previous office experience or administrative background is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
Proficient in using office software and practice management systems
Friendly demeanour with a genuine desire to assist patients and colleagues alike
