friendly, organized, and proactive Medical Receptionist
to join our supportive, hardworking team.
This role is ideal for someone who is not only professional and approachable but also
flexible to support colleagues by covering staff holidays and sickness when needed
. You'll be at the heart of our patient care, helping the practice run smoothly day to day.

What We're Offering
Contracted Hours
: 20.5 hours per week
Thursday & Friday 07.45 -6.30
Flexibility is required and essential
Salary
: 12.21 per hour

: 30-minute lunch break plus a paid morning break

Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in/check-out procedures
Manage appointment bookings, confirmations, and cancellations
Answer incoming calls and handle patient queries with professionalism
Maintain accurate patient records and update information when required
Support patients with payment processes and administrative needs
Process prescription requests accurately and efficiently
Open, sort, and distribute post
Scan and upload medical letters to patient records
Carry out general office duties such as filing, data entry, and stock management
Work as part of a supportive team, assisting colleagues where needed
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient care
Protect patient confidentiality at all times
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
Uphold confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations at all times.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

Flexibility to cover holiday leave and sickness when required.
Experience in a receptionist or customer-facing role is highly desirable, especially in a healthcare setting, but we're happy to provide full training for the right candidate.
