Duties
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using the practice management system
Handle incoming calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required
Process payments and insurance claims efficiently and accurately
Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and other documentation as needed
Ensure the reception area remains tidy and well-organised at all times
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
Support the medical team with clerical duties to facilitate smooth daily operations
Skills
Proven office experience with strong organisational skills
Previous administrative experience in a healthcare setting is desirable
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in using office software programmes such as MS Office (Word, Excel) and practice management systems
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards patient care and confidentiality
