Job Description

Operations Act as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, both in person and by phone. Register and process patients on arrival. Gather patient information to support triage or signpost to appropriate services. Prepare the surgery for daily use, ensuring reception and consultation rooms are set up and tidy.



Support the clinical team, including handling samples and chaperoning when required. Communicate messages clearly and promptly to the appropriate staff member. Manage incoming correspondence (e.g. prescriptions, post, private work) within required timeframes.



Carry out general administrative tasks as required. Safeguarding Follow practice safeguarding procedures. Escalate any safeguarding concerns immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead or Practice Manager. Clinical Governance, Health & Safety Follow all company policies and procedures.



Maintain patient confidentiality and data protection at all times. Work safely and keep work areas clean and hazard-free. Report and support the management of incidents or complaints as required. Personal Development Complete all mandatory and required training.



Take part in appraisals and ongoing learning.
