We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area. Duties
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
Manage appointment scheduling and confirm upcoming appointments
Answer incoming phone calls promptly and courteously, directing queries appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and processing correspondence
Collect patient information and insurance details, ensuring confidentiality at all times
Assist with billing procedures and processing payments when required
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-organised
Support other administrative staff as needed to ensure efficient clinic operations
Qualifications
Prior office or administrative experience is preferred
Proven organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in using office software programmes such as MS Office or similar applications
Experience working within a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential
Friendly demeanour with a strong customer service orientation
