Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can work in a multi-skilled environment, supporting the patients and the clinical teams working in the Erskine Practice.

This role presents a great opportunity to provide comprehensive, efficient and effective reception service, and administrative function within the Erskine Practice

You will be responsible for general administrative and reception duties within the Practice and work with our established processes, policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive high quality service and deal efficiently and courteously with patient enquiries.

Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.

Provide general assistance and administration support to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone

You will have excellent communication skills and a compassionate and friendly nature and can operate in a busy environment with a range of people and professions, as you will be working with our clinical and administration teams.

Your other duties in this role will be dealing with telephone, face-to-face and electronic enquiries, booking and/or amending patient appointments and home visits, contacting patients to provide information from the clinical team and assisting patients to access our services and those available in the wider community.

This role is ideal for someone who has excellent typing/keyboard skills, a good knowledge of medical terminology, is highly organised and an effective communicator who can provide a professional and warm welcome to our patients, ensuring every contact is of the highest quality.
