We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. This paid position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment within a busy medical practice, contributing to excellent patient care and administrative efficiency.

Responsibilities



Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment. Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations efficiently using practice management software. Answer incoming phone calls promptly, directing enquiries appropriately and taking accurate messages. Maintain accurate patient records, updating details as needed while adhering to confidentiality protocols. Handle administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and processing correspondence. Assist with billing procedures and processing payments in accordance with practice policies. Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies. Support other administrative staff as required to ensure seamless clinic operations.

Requirements



Proven office experience, ideally within a healthcare or medical environment. Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and organisational ability. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly professional manner. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting whilst maintaining accuracy. Proficiency in using office software programmes such as Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent practice management systems. Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is desirable but not essential. A professional attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding patient service. Flexibility to work during standard clinic hours; previous experience in healthcare settings is advantageous but not mandatory. This position offers an engaging work environment where your organisational skills will directly contribute to delivering quality patient care and efficient clinic operations.

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 37.5 per week
