Duties
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders using practice software
Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously, directing enquiries appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary
Handle administrative tasks such as electronic filing, photocopying
Collect and process payments in accordance with practice procedures
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times
Adhere to confidentiality protocols and data protection regulations
Qualifications
Previous office experience is essential, ideally within a healthcare or similar environment
Reception experience demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards patients and colleagues
Organised approach with strong time-management skills
