We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and efficiently, creating a welcoming environment
Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling using practice management software
Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, directing queries appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing correspondence
Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and personal data
Ensure the reception area remains tidy and organised at all times
Assist with billing procedures and processing payments when required
Support other administrative duties as directed by the practice manager or healthcare professionals
Qualifications
Previous office or administrative experience is preferred, ideally within a healthcare setting
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in using office software such as MS Office (Word, Excel) and practice management systems
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive patient information discreetly
Friendly, professional demeanour with a customer-focused approach
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment
