Deputy Practice ManagerPatient Services Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally. Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures. Schedule, confirm and reschedule appointments using EMIS, Klinik Handle patient inquiries in person, by phone or via email. Collect and process patient information Administrative Support Maintain and update patient records accurately and confidentially.
Prepare and manage correspondence, reports and other documentation. Support clinicians with administrative needs Ensure waiting area and reception desk are clean, organised, and stocked with necessary materials. Liaise with other healthcare professionals, pharmacies and laboratories as required. Compliance and Confidentiality Adhere to all relevant healthcare, data protection, and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Follow clinic protocols for patient safety and infection control. Maintain confidentiality of patient and practice information at all times. Qualifications and Experience: Essential GSCE or above Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and medical practice management software (e.g., EMIS, Docman or similar).
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. Desirable Familiarity with medical terminology. Experience handling confidential or sensitive information.
