As a Private Medical Clinic Receptionist, you should have a welcoming and friendly professional manner with excellent interpersonal skills.
Role
Ensure all patients and visitors from front-of-house are greeted in a professional manner showing confidence and knowledge about our services.
Promote the professionalism and excellence standards the clinic offers.
Work closely with the Office Manager to ensure that patients receive a high standard of service when booking appointments, providing accurate information on costs whilst maintaining patient confidentially.
Answer the telephone in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner.
Complete patient recalls and appointment reminder calls.
Answer emails in a professional manner using the grammatically correct language.
Be competent in sending zoom links to patients having virtual consultants.
Be proactive to ensure the smooth running of the clinic during busy periods.
Work as a team with colleagues and demonstrate good customer care skills.
Send and follow up on all new patient history sheets before their appointments.
Receive and action patient registration forms and update as appropriate (e.g., +
details of insurance, change of address, etc.)
Prepare clinic lists and labels, print and send to consultants. Check whether off-site referral letters are received and filed
Experience and Knowledge
Experience of working in a health/medical practice or similar establishment
Job Types: Full-time - 37.5 hours per week
Fixed-term contract
Salary Range: 23,000 - 24,000
Schedule: Monday - Friday (occasional Saturday depending on service needs)
Education
Studied to a minimum standard of GCSE (grade C or above) or equivalent (preferred)
Good level of English language demonstrated through effective written and verbal communication skills
