This is a temporary role as a Medical Secretary at Emerald Place Clinic, a general adolescent inpatient unit for the care and treatment of young people aged 13 up to the age of 18 with a primary diagnosis of mental illness across a wide range of disorders and complex needs. The role involves providing administrative support to the medical team, including managing diaries, planning meetings, updating records, and liaising with external agencies.
Main duties of the job
The Medical Secretary will be responsible for supporting the Registered Clinician with letters and general documentation, taking minutes for meetings, receiving and recording typing, checking and amending for spelling and grammatical errors, participating in the administration, development and evaluation of regulatory matters, coordinating the hospital diary and the whereabouts of the clinicians, booking in meetings, and arranging conference calls.
