To provide an efficient audio, copy typing and word processing service for GPs and Health Professionals as required. This includes the typing of letters, reports, patient referrals, minutes, memorandums, etc. in an accurate and quality manner.
To make appointments, bookings and admissions as required and assisting patients who have queries regarding referrals using eRS (Electronic Referral System).
Assisting and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
To assist the Management team with clerical and administrative duties.
Process private applications for claims, benefits, insurances and SARs (Subject Access Requests) keeping up to date spreadsheets regarding all private work undertaken.
Offering general assistance to the practice team and projecting a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
To establish and maintain filing and administrative systems so that written or computer information is easily accessible and secure.
To receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries.
To maintain the computer clinic system in an accurate and secure manner.
To provide cover for reception when required during periods of sickness and annual leave as directed by the practice management team.
To partake in the Reception extended hours rota as required.
Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of your manager or GP Partner, dependent on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels.
