Priory Hospital Cheadle Royalis looking to recruit a Medical Secretary to join the team This is a part time role of 30 hours.



Set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults.

What you'll be doing





You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn't involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.To provide cross cover within specified Medical Secretaries teams, as assigned by your line manager. Provide exceptional customer service to our patients, ensuring a positive customer experience. You will be required to accurately record Independent Consultant time to ensure appropriate invoicing controls are in place for the hospital. Independent Consultant Time is designated as time you spend completing tasks assigned to you by a Consultant. Organise diaries and patient appointments directly with patients and Consultants whilst ensuring the hospital is providing the best possible service to patients.

What you'll bring to the role

Possesses excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to audio-type and a solid understanding of medical terminology. Passionate about delivering a high-quality service to the hospital, with strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise workload effectively, and exceptional attention to detail. A committed team player who maintains a high level of confidentiality and integrity, supported by experience in administrative, customer service, clinical, or other relevant settings. Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively within a team, sharing responsibilities to ensure the department operates efficiently, while following established procedures and processes and applying adaptive thinking when required, particularly in interactions with patients and their families.
