We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join the administrative team for our ADHD Medication Service at our head office in Shrewsbury. You will work as part of a small, supportive team managing enquiries related to ADHD medication, scheduling client appointments, organising follow-ups, and providing administrative support for our Consultant Psychiatrists and Nurse Practitioners. We are a friendly, hard-working group, and the ability to respond quickly, juggle competing priorities, and collaborate effectively is essential.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are recruiting a Medical Secretary on a full-time basis to join our head office team in Shrewsbury. This is a highly impactful role supporting clients through their ADHD journey, from initial enquiries through ongoing treatment and follow-up. You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced office environment, maintain calm under pressure, and perform tasks accurately. Strong organisational and IT skills are essential. Previous experience within the NHS or a healthcare setting is desirable, but not essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing and responding to enquiries for ADHD assessment and medication
Scheduling appointments, including initial consultations, titrations, and prescription reviews
Managing a caseload of patients and monitoring their ongoing progress
Liaising with patients and clinicians via phone and email, ensuring clear, empathetic communication
Supporting patients with ADHD and their families by providing guidance, resources, and practical support
Recording patient data and contact information accurately and securely
Managing customer service issues sensitively, particularly for patients with mental health needs
Promoting the company's values and commitment to excellence in all interactions
Working collaboratively as part of a team to deliver a seamless service
Using software such as Egress and Adobe to safeguard patient data
PERSON SPECIFICATION CRITERIA
Essential:
Experience:
Customer service experience (1+ year preferred), administrative experience (1+ years preferred).
Skills:
Excellent communication (verbal & written), problem-solving, active listening, IT proficiency, time management, interpersonal skills, adaptability, attention to detail.

Desirable:
