Job Title: Medical Support Coordinator


Working pattern:

35 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks)

Start Date:

October 2025

Key Responsibilities:



Oversee and manage all medical and first aid procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory guidelines. Administer and audit medications, maintaining accurate medical records and care plans. Write, review, and update medical support plans and risk assessments for students. Coordinate with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure students' needs are met. Organise medical and SEND training for staff, keeping records up to date. Support students with medical needs, continence management, and personal care. Lead medical arrangements for school trips and visits.

What we are looking for:



Strong literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills (GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent). First Aid certificate (or willingness to train in paediatric and workplace first aid) Experience of supporting children or young people with complex SEND and medical needs Knowledge of medical, SEND, and safeguarding procedures. Ability to write and maintain accurate medical support plans and risk assessments. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
