We are seeking a dedicated and professional Counter Assistant to join our pharmacy team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring accurate medication handling. Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers at the pharmacy counter with professionalism and courtesy
Manage stock levels, organise shelves, and ensure medication displays are tidy and compliant with safety standards
Support pharmacy staff with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing prescriptions
Provide information on over-the-counter products and direct patients to appropriate healthcare services when necessary
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with data protection regulations
Assist in medication administration procedures where applicable, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
Contribute to maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Receive stock and arrange according to invoice
Assist pharmacist with patient appointments and consultations
Medicine ordering for patients from surgeries
File and hand out dispensed medications to the patients
Requirements
Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in medication administration is preferred
Knowledge of patient care practices within a pharmacy setting
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with patients and team members
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
A genuine interest in healthcare and patient support services
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the pharmacy setting
