SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Due to continuing expansion, CField is seeking an experienced and motivated MEP Co-Ordinator to join our existing team in Edinburgh. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the MEP department in pre-construction, procurement, design and operations. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include but are not limited to:
Supervise MEP subcontractors and manage installation schedules
Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
Resolve technical issues and conflicts related to MEP systems
Maintain accurate project documentation and update MEP drawings and BIM models
Monitor project costs and assist in budgeting and value engineering
Ensure timely delivery of MEP components and manage procurement processes
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
Coordinate all phases of MEP services across the project lifecycle, from planning through to commissioning
Review and interpret MEP design documents and specifications
Collaborate with Architects, Engineers and Contractors to ensure seamless investigation of MEP systems
Manage and schedule all utility connections in line with project milestones
Liaise with the Design Team to coordinate technical submittals in accordance with the project schedule
Track and manage the flow of technical information between Design Teams and specialist subcontractors
Ensure MEP works are delivered and implemented to approved designs and specifications
Monitor on-site installations and ensure stage checks are completed to required standards
Work closely with the Commercial and Estimating Managers, Tender teams member and Construction Directors
Comply with all relevant CField internal processes not limited to but including EHS and HR policies
Attend site for any trouble shooting when required
Maintain Processes and Documentation in MEP department
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
A relevant third level degree or professional qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
1 years' relevant experience in MEP coordination or related role
Proficient in (eg. AutoCAD, RevitMEP software)
Strong understanding of building codes, safety standards and construction processes and procedures
Highly organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
Proficient IT skills with good working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in Microsoft Office
